About Chad Swenson
I’m a seasoned Producer, Line Producer, and Production Manager based in Kansas City, with extensive experience across film, television, documentary, commercial, branded content and sports-related productions.
Known for combining creative problem solving with strong operational leadership, I bring a hands-on approach to every project—overseeing budgets, logistics, crew management, location coordination, scheduling and on-set production leadership.
After nearly 18 years working in Los Angeles, I returned to Kansas City in 2018 and continue to work as a freelance producer and local fixer, supporting both regional productions and visiting national or international crews. I regularly assist production companies, broadcasters, agencies and brands needing a trusted local production partner in Kansas City and the Midwest.
I’m also open to staff producer roles with production companies, studios, sports media teams, or advertising agencies.
My most recent long-term staff role was with Twelve Tone Productions (2006–2018), where I spent 12 years as a key member of the production team producing studio marketing, promotional, and behind-the-scenes content. I managed 5–12 shoots per week for major entertainment studios and vendors, coordinating crews, schedules, equipment, and locations
while ensuring productions stayed on time and on budget.
Across projects, I oversee end-to-end production management, including line producing, crew hiring, budgeting, scheduling, location logistics, camera prep, vendor coordination,
and wrap accounting.
I maintain a trusted network of union and non-union crew members, allowing me to quickly scale teams for productions ranging from small documentary shoots to
large commercial campaigns. I work closely with agency and studio executives to ensure creative goals and production logistics align from development through delivery
Recently, I’ve produced commercial and branded content with agencies and companies including VML, Ultimate Fighting Championship, Walz Tetrick Advertising, RW2 Productions, AMC Theatres, Amway, and InTouch Solutions. These projects supported major brands including Bud Light, The NFL, Adidas, Tostitos, Tanqueray, Beneful, ADT, and Omaha Steaks, as well as a Game of Thrones-themed campaign for Johnnie Walker.
I’ve also produced two award-winning feature-length documentaries with Just Like You Films — Anxiety and Depression and May Contain: My Life— which have received Anthem Awards and Telly Awards recognition. Beyond the awards, these films use the power of storytelling to foster empathy, spark dialogue, and help create a more compassionate world.
With deep experience supporting commercial, documentary, branded, and studio productions, I’m available as a Kansas City–based Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, or Local Fixer, particularly for sports media, broadcast coverage, and
international productions traveling to Kansas City for major events like the 2026 World Cup.
